The Impact You'll Make in this Role The EHS IT Lead Analyst is a client-facing IT professional who brings together technical expertise, analytical capability, and project management experience to support strategic global applications within 3M's Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Product Stewardship organization. This role involves working on both small independent efforts and large global projects with cross-functional teams across different languages, cultures, and time zones to deliver effective, business-focused technology solutions. The position supports 3M Product Stewardship's mission of helping ensure products comply with global regulations while also supporting employee safety in manufacturing environments, with primary responsibilities cantered on PS360 suite applications, web applications, batch jobs, interfaces, and reporting. Your key responsibilities would be to: Deploy, support, and maintain cloud-based applications while addressing global data privacy, disaster recovery, configuration management, and infrastructure compliance requirements. Manage application releases and database change control activities, including SQL script execution, testing, delivery coordination, and environment support across IT, vendors, and business teams. Troubleshoot and resolve application, infrastructure, and vendor-related deployment issues, while applying server patches, renewing certificates and licenses, and managing NPSA account passwords. Partner with business and cross-functional global teams to implement scalable technology solutions, evaluate alternatives, and address the impact of system changes. Drive continuous improvement through process evaluation, adoption of best practices, documentation of complex technical integrations, and clear communication with stakeholders. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: 10+ years of database administration experience supporting multiple projects and systems, with strong customer interaction and client-facing skills. Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience with SQL and SQL Server tools, including query tuning and performance improvement recommendations. Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery processes, and performance monitoring standards. Working experience with AWS cloud, Windows and Linux server environments, as well as SSIS and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Wiz. Proven ability to understand and communicate complex system integrations, coordinate with downstream system users for interface and batch job testing and contribute effectively to projects of varying size and complexity. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to address technical and business challenges effectively. Solid interpersonal and communication skills, with experience collaborating across IT teams and Product Stewardship business clients. Technical experience integrating corporate applications, along with knowledge of industry-standard IT practices and 3M IT processes and documentation. Experience working in an Agile environment, with willingness to expand expertise in third-party software implementation and enhancement, supported by EHS domain knowledge.
