Responsibilities

  • Record and apply customer payments (NEFT, cheque, etc.) in SAP, ensuring accurate invoice matching
  • Process receipts and maintain up-to-date accounting records to support cash flow visibility
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in customer accounts
  • Track and manage unallocated cash, advances, and short payments, working with customers and internal teams to close gaps
  • Prepare and share daily cash collection reports, including receipts, advances, and mismatches
  • Maintain receipt registers and support credit control with accurate data for collections
  • Handle TDS and GST-related accounting entries, including reconciliation and discrepancy tracking
  • Support monthly closing activities, including AR ageing and cash forecasting inputs
  • Assist during audits and compliance reviews, ensuring documentation and controls are in place
  • Drive follow-ups for intercompany collections and overdue receivables
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Sales, Credit Control, Tax, Finance) to improve accuracy and efficiency

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Accounts Receivable / Cash Application processes
  • Working knowledge of GST and TDS (calculation, accounting, reconciliation)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP (including relevant T-codes for AR & cash posting)
  • Solid Excel skills (lookups, basic reporting, data handling)
  • High attention to detail and ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
