This role offers an excellent opportunity to support high‑quality teaching, learning and student administration within the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures , Faculty of Humanities. You will play a key role in delivering efficient, student‑centred administrative support across curriculum and programme activity, working flexibly as part of a Professional Services team that places the student experience at the heart of what it does. This is a part‑time role (17.5 hours per week / 0.5 FTE) on a fixed‑term contract for 12 months , based at the University's Oxford Road campus. You will be responsible for: Providing clerical and administrative support to the Curriculum and Programmes team, supporting activity across the academic cycle Acting as a first point of contact for routine teaching, learning and student administration queries, knowing when to escalate issues appropriately Supporting the maintenance of course unit records, curriculum information and student data across University systems Assisting with quality assurance processes, documentation, and programme‑related administration Supporting meetings and committees, including room bookings, paperwork preparation and minute‑taking We welcome candidates who bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and approaches to their work. You should demonstrate: Essential Criteria Experience working with administrative processes in a customer‑focused environment Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise work in a busy environment Digital literacy and confidence using standard IT systems and office software A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and to delivering an excellent student experience Desirable Criteria Experience working in a Higher Education or student services environment Experience supporting curriculum, programme management or student administration activity Experience working with student records or related digital systems We value reliability, flexibility and a positive, solution‑focused approach as much as formal qualifications.
