Supervisory Firefighter

About the role

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER for the NAVSUBASE KINGSBAY. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) controlling or extinguishing advanced fires involving structures, aircraft, and other complex hazards as a member of an organized fire department; 2) performing advanced rescue operations including vehicle extrication and confined space rescue; 3) providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) as a nationally registered Paramedic; 4) Applying principles and techniques for fire protection and emergency response to shipboard firefighting. This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Firefighter I & II, HazMat Technician, Hazmat Incident Commander; Fire Officer II, Fire Inspector I, and Fire Instructor I, National Registry- Paramedic. These certifications must have been awarded by DoD, IFSAC or ProBoard to meet the requirement.
