Shift Technician/Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Maintaining and repairing our fleet of buses to DVSA and Stagecoach
• safety standards
• Diagnosing and fixing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using
• diagnostic equipment including laptop
• Completing the full range of mechanical repairs including major unit
• changes and engine repairs and overhauls,
• Carrying out routine inspections, servicing, and roadside repairs
• Supporting apprentices by sharing your knowledge and experience
• Working safely and efficiently as part of a collaborative depot team

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in HGV or PSV Maintenance (or equivalent)
• Hands-on experience working on commercial or specialist vehicles
• Experience and competence in using modern diagnostic equipment
• Electrical/electronic competence at a basic level
• A safety-first attitude and strong attention to detail
• A team player with good communication skills
• Previous experience working on buses or large passenger vehicles

Salary Average earnings of £45,822 per year Shift Technician/Mechanic - Based at our Oldham Depot, located at Oldham, Greater Manchester - Pay rate of £22.03 per hour/annual earnings of £45,822 p.a. - Shift pattern of 4 days on and 3 off - working one weekend in 3, 40 hours per week, typical shifts 5am - 3pm & 3pm - 1am (includes weekends) Looking for a hands-on mechanical role where your skills keep the community moving?
