About the role

You will serve as a Production Controller in the Production Resources Department (900), Production Workforce Development and Resource Manager (900B), Production Resources Manager (900R), Operations and Support Branch (900R.1) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. GS-12 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing the Work Packaging Function. Experience providing customer service dealing with accepting or rejecting work, scheduling work, material handling and conducting risk assessments. Experience working across organizational lines with diverse entities to ensure project completion. Experience identifying requirements and provide leadership for complex nuclear and interface work. Experience with human resource management and data collection. Experience demonstrating the use administrative tools for data management, report writing, dashboard creation, and querying. GS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with naval ship overhaul processes including production, planning, engineering, and scheduling. Experience quickly conducting risk assessments, identifying potentially adverse impact on shop or project's ability to provide resources and perform work. Experience demonstrating organization, policies and procedures, interfaces, communications, and operations of the shipyard to be able to manage labor and non-labor resources as efficiently and effectively as possible. Experience applying submarine and nuclear work, processes, and procedures. Experience with the location, capacity, capability and availability of shipyard facilities and services. Experience applying skill in good management practices to include verbal and written communications skills to permit interface at the shop or project superintendent and department head levels.
