About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This is an open continuous announcement. The announcement will close, without notice, when all the vacancies have been filled. About the Position: Serve as a Security Guard assigned under the authority of the Army Geospatial Center Director. This is an open continuous announcement. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes the protection of property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; or maintaining order and protecting life; experience with operating requirements, methods, and procedures to control access to highly sensitive national defense materials and systems. Experience with maintenance of assigned weapons and related equipment. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
