Ability is required to perform manual labor; to maintain and operate power equipment; and to follow instructions.Special RequirementsPossession of a valid Oklahoma driver's license at time of employment.Some agencies may require possession of a valid Oklahoma commercial driver's license, class A or B with appropriate endorsements referenced in United States Department of Transportation Title 47, Chapter 6, Section 101 et seq. at time of appointment.Persons appointed to positions at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation or the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority must possess or obtain a commercial driver's license, class A, no later than five months from the date of appointment.ODOT employees are required to have a CDL tank vehicle endorsement.Applicants must take and pass drug test prior to appointment. Such tests will be administered through the appointing agency.
