About the role

You will serve as the Limited Duty (LIMDU) and Disability Evaluation System (DES) Program Manager for Personnel Plans and Policy (N14) on the headquarters staff of Commander, Submarine Force Atlantic, Norfolk, VA. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS- 11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with program planning procedures and directives, and a detailed understanding of the Department of the Navy organization. Experience with manning and military personnel assignments to mitigate the friction and adequate tracking of LIMDU/Transient personnel process for Submarine LIMDU/Transient personnel. Experience understanding principles, theories, and techniques of program research analysis to develop new and innovative approaches to solving submarine LIMDU/Transient personnel management issues. Experience and expert knowledge of force management functions and techniques to justify manning requirements, allocations of positions and documentation to support changes and authorization. Experience and knowledge of various programs including Ship Manpower Document (SMD), Shore Manpower Requirements Determination Program (SMRDP), and My Navy Assignment System (MNA). Experience and comprehensive knowledge of Navy, Fleet Readiness and the Submarine Force frameworks, governance processes, and interrelationships to meet our peacetime and wartime mission demands. Experience and knowledge of submarine platforms, missions, and programs to meet minimum fit (85%) and/or fill (95%) thresholds for our submarines. Experience demonstrating the ability to eliminate work problems and/or barriers to mission accomplishment.
