Primary responsibilities include: Responsible for drafting and generating a range of legal documents, such as standard engagement letters, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), as well as Statements of Work (SOW) and Scopes of Work (SOW) when required. Work closely with internal and outside legal counsel on various legal matters, including contract changes, debt collection, bankruptcy issues, and responses to subpoenas. Follow up on in-flight contract drafts as needed with leads/prospective clients to bring closure and expedite contract execution to the extent possible Maintain a tracker of contracts drafted, contracts executed, terminations, etc.. to distribute to the partners on a regular cadence for transparency purposes. Support the COO and CFO on preparing and responding to requests for information from regulatory bodies such as FINRA. Serve as the central custodian for incoming information, ensuring its proper entry into firm's CRM and facilitate its distribution to relevant parties as needed. Serve as key contact for client and CRM related incoming inquiries Provide a variety of project management, administrative and operational support for the Legal & Finance teams' daily operations. Candidates should possess the following skills and key competencies: Bachelor's Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally in the securities litigation department of a large firm Exceptional communication, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills Ability to work on projects requiring a high level of discretion and confidentiality Ability to work independently and collaboratively while effectively managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously Strong project management and analytical skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Office Flexibility to work additional hours as needed A willingness to take on new tasks and develop new skills This role operates from our San Francisco office and provides opportunities for remote work on a periodic basis.
