Electrical Plant Engineer [No Experienced Required]

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Plant Engineer to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant electrical systems. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment reliability, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards within a chemical manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the reliability and availability of plant electrical systems through preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
• Troubleshoot electrical equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance.
• Plan and manage electrical maintenance activities and projects, including equipment upgrades, annual substation shutdowns, and contractor coordination.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety, ESH regulations, and company standards by reviewing SOPs, risk assessments, and maintenance practices.
• Drive energy efficiency and cost optimisation by improving maintenance strategies, managing vendors, and supporting continuous process improvements.

Requirements

• Experience in electrical maintenance or engineering within the chemical, manufacturing, or process industry.
• Strong knowledge of plant electrical systems and equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with chemical manufacturing processes .
• Basic knowledge of PLC and control systems .
• Good understanding of ESH (Environment, Safety & Health) regulations and electrical safety standards.
