Overview of the Role The Senior Mortgage Broking Assistant supports the mortgage broking team by managing complex loan applications and ensuring a smooth and timely process from submission to settlement. Main duties include: Coordinate and manage complex loan applications, including document preparation and submission. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior mortgage broking assistants. Maintain communication with clients, lenders, settlement agents, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless loan process. Manage post-settlement client care and follow-ups. Ensure compliance with relevant banking and lending regulations. Update and maintain CRM databases and other record-keeping systems. Assist with process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and client satisfaction. Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field. Proven experience in mortgage broking or a related financial services role, with at least 3 years in a similar position. Demonstrated ability to manage complex mortgage applications from start to finish. Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. High level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Proficiency with CRM systems such as MyCRM, ApplyOnline, or similar. Knowledge of various lending products including asset finance, cash flow lending, debtor finance, and property finance is preferred.
