This position will be a Diamondback employee who works for the subsidiary, Viper Energy Partners. The primary responsibility of the Senior Landman is to handle an assigned geographical area of Viper Energy's holdings. The Senior Landman will be responsible for the leadership of an asset area and will coordinate with teams and/or technical professionals to ensure the company objectives and goals are met. Job Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to Oversee and manage mineral interests, overriding royalty interests, and non-participating royalty interests, ensuring maximum revenue generation. Review production volumes and leasehold obligations on company owned mineral & royalty interests Calculate net revenue interest of company in horizontal allocation wells and unit wells as necessary. Negotiate oil, gas, and mineral leases, surface use agreements, and other contracts to secure favorable terms from outside parties. Make recommendations regarding complex agreements, leases, and contracts with company legal department Provide technical and strategic advice on complex land negotiations while assisting less experienced land personnel Manage brokers and attorneys in title and curative matters as appropriate Work with Division Order team to insure timely and accurate royalty payments for the company. Maintain accurate ownership data within the company land management software. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business Administration, or related field At least five (5) years of progressive Land experience with at least three (3) of those being in-house At least four (4) years of demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) High-level understanding of Land and exploration and production issues Strong interpersonal, analytical and communication skills
