Responsibilities

  • Support immigration and work authorization matters by advising business leaders on compliance obligations and strategy, and coordinating with external providers, as appropriate.
  • Partner closely with Human Resources and business leaders to prevent, mitigate, and resolve employment issues, including providing training and guidance on key labor and employment topics.
  • Support compliance with federal contracting programs and obligations, as well as mandatory demographic and pay reporting.
  • Effectively monitor, interpret, and advise on changes in labor and employment laws, regulations, and standards; proactively assess risk and recommend strategies and process improvement to support compliance.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal stakeholders and Legal leadership, exercising sound judgment regarding escalation and reporting of issues, taking into account what is material to the respective audience.
  • At the direction of the Chief Compliance Officer:
  • Assist with and conduct internal investigations, including investigations relating to highly sensitive employment-related matters.
  • Review, draft, and update policies, codes of conduct, and procedures that support compliance with rules and regulations applicable to the business and alignment with Company values.
  • Advise on employment aspects of corporate transactions and strategic initiatives, including M&A, restructurings, reductions in force, and post-transaction integration.
  • Manage outside counsel as required, ensuring high-quality legal support and cost-effective outcomes.
  • Adapt easily to new circumstances.
