Responsibilities

  • Administrative Functions: Prepare required paperwork/documents for the day's patients ensuring completeness and accuracy of information; prepare charts according to standard office procedure, including lab results, consent forms, procedure reports, and outside medical records
  • May include seeing patients within the clinic/virtually to confirm patient record or required paperwork
  • Perform daily data entry in compliance with SART (Society for Artificial Reproductive Technology)
  • Understanding of laboratory inventory process, which includes routinely receiving, stocking, and rotating all consumable supplies
  • Assist in all aspects of shipping and receiving cryo-storage specimens, including answer all incoming inquiries from patients, providers, and staff, courier scheduling, shipment handling, inventory maintenance and specimen transfers
  • Assist in maintaining patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information as required by this position
  • Coordinate projects facilitating information flow and adherence to deadlines
  • Perform ad hoc administrative duties as assigned by the Reproductive Endocrinology Infertility (REI) leadership
  • Laboratory Functions: Follow the laboratory's procedures for reporting and maintaining records of patient test results specifically morning laboratory quality control and patient medical records
  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
  • Study and review laboratory operating manual and become familiar with quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures and operating guidelines for performing laboratory services
  • Participate in laboratory operations as directed
  • Attend laboratory meetings as requested
  • Assist embryology staff with procedures and research projects
  • Communicate with clinical staff, as appropriate
  • Required:
  • Bachelor degree or 5+ years' experience in IVF related field.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Preferred:
  • A bachelor degree in Biology or related field
  • Prior experience in IVF lab or related clinical setting
  • EPIC experience
