The Real Estate Manager leads the delivery of Shell Canada's retail real estate strategy, ensuring strong governance, operational excellence, and long-term growth of the retail network. This role oversees all real estate activities, including acquisitions, leases, renewals, dispositions, expropriations, and property management, while managing key internal and external partners such as Legal, Real Estate, and external real estate partners. This role leads the strategic and operational oversight of Canada's retail real estate portfolio. You shape the Mobility Network Real Estate strategy, set strategic priorities, and serve as Shell's primary contact for the Real Estate Partner commercial brokerage teams in Houston, Toronto, and across Canada. This role leads and mentors' internal staff, including: Two Property Managers, responsible for day-to-day property operations and landlord/tenant obligations Two Paralegals, supporting contract drafting, due diligence, registrations, and legal coordination This role works interdependently with the Mobility Network, Convenience Retail, and Soil & Groundwater teams to ensure aligned, integrated delivery and future-ready network growth. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with three days in the office and two days working remotely, unless travel is required during the week. Travel is expected to be under 20% and will primarily involve market visits across various provinces in Canada.
