Horizon Sports and Experiences (HS&E) was created to provide a differentiated and comprehensive approach for clients engaging in sports and experiential marketing. Responsibilities

  • 55% - Account and Project Management
  • Manage all aspects of the event planning process, including project plans, partner and vendor relationships, event communications, creative development and approval processes
  • Develop and adhere to the program timeline and work-back schedule including key dates and deliverables to ensure milestones are met and that the project remains ahead of client expectations
  • Conduct regularly scheduled status meetings to provide feedback and periodic reports to stakeholders as necessary
  • Lead the design and production of branded activation assets and detailed consumer journeys
  • Collaborate with program partners and vendors to ensure teamwork, timely delivery, effective communication and detail management in the production of experiential footprints
  • Draft event execution guides and training materials for staff and program partners
  • Provide financial account support with responsibility for individual event budgets, tracking, invoicing, and vendor payments.
  • 15% - Strategic Planning
  • Research and examine event vendors including fabrication, technology, hospitality and entertainment to stay ahead of new and exciting opportunities for events
  • Showcase forward-thinking initiative to identify the best strategic opportunities and provide new ideas in the ever-changing events landscape
  • Develop and deliver polished client deliverables and other strategic framework materials to support client decision-making (i.e. presentations, budgets, etc.)
  • Conduct post-event evaluations and recaps to showcase event success and ROI
  • 15% - Relationship Management
  • Collaborate across multiple departments including creative, legal and finance building effective communication and processes that support overall event execution
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and interagency teams
  • Anticipate challenges and proactively ideate solutions to build trust among team members and clients
  • 15% - Staff Development
  • Demonstrate ownership to the wider team, offering support as needed and working to nurture direct reports in their own career progression

Requirements

  • Passionate about live and virtual experiences with a desire to innovate and keep up with trends
  • Team-spirited and collaborative to achieve client objectives
  • An experienced project manager with the ability to manage deadlines
  • Proactive in taking initiative and driving projects from conception to completion
  • Proven track record of high attention to detail, critical organizational skills and effective communication
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Independent problem solver with foresight and the ability to develop creative solutions

  • Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (minimum)
  • 4+ years of event marketing experience at an agency, team, league or brand with demonstrated understanding of the industry
  • Polished, professional and enthusiastic about delivering high quality experiences for brands
  • Proven success in project management and managing multiple priorities
  • Experience and confidence developing persuasive presentations
  • High level of proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work nights, weekends or travel for client programs and/or events
