Responsibilities
- This is a force-multiplier role. You'll embed with revenue teams, understand their daily jobs to be done, and turn manual, repetitive work into fast, reliable automations-so our best people spend their time on the work only humans can do.
- Core Responsibilities
- Workflow discovery: Shadow and interview Sales Engineers, Solutions Engineers, and Enterprise CSMs to map their day-to-day workflows and build a prioritized automation backlog ranked by impact and effort
- Sales Engineering tools: Build data-assembly tools that pull from HG's APIs, automate technical discovery prep, and generate proof-of-concept materials-reducing manual pre-call and post-call work for SEs
- Solutions Engineering tools: Automate the generation of technical scoping docs, integration-architecture diagrams, and solution briefs; maintain a reusable library of solution templates and sandbox configurations
- Enterprise CSM automations: Build automations for account health briefs, QBR summaries, risk-detection alerts, and personalized outreach workflows using data from Vitally, Salesforce, and Slack
- AI-powered workflow engineering: Design and deploy LLM-based workflows using Claude and the Claude Agent SDK-building agents, MCP server integrations, and agentic pipelines that operate across the GTM tool stack
- Platform ownership: Maintain and evolve the internal GTM automation stack; document every tool so teams can self-serve; instrument monitoring so failures surface quickly
Requirements
- 3-7 years in a technical role-software engineering, solutions engineering, RevOps engineering, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated track record of building internal tools or automations that eliminated manual work for a GTM or customer-facing team
- Hands-on experience integrating with SaaS APIs (Salesforce, Slack, HubSpot, Vitally, or similar)
- Technical skills
- Expert-level user of Claude Code-you use it daily, understand its agentic capabilities, and can build production workflows with it
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for scripting, API integration, and automation
- Working knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers and LLM-based agent frameworks
- Comfort with workflow automation platforms such as n8n, Zapier, or Make
- Familiarity with the GTM tool ecosystem: Salesforce, Vitally, Slack, Gong, Granola, Outreach, or equivalent
- How you work
- Business mindset: You understand that tools are only valuable if people use them-you design for adoption, not just functionality
- Discovery-first: You run structured discovery sessions with non-technical stakeholders and translate fuzzy pain points into scoped, buildable solutions
- Ship fast, iterate often: You prefer a useful tool in users' hands over a perfect tool on a roadmap
- High reliability bar: If an automation breaks, the team loses trust-you build with monitoring and graceful failure in mind
- Experience working in or embedded with a Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Customer Success team
- Familiarity with HG Insights products and use cases-technology intelligence, installed-base data, or intent signals
- Prior experience building Claude-powered agents or working with the Anthropic API at a production level
- Why HG Insights
- We offer competitive compensation, equity, and a team that genuinely invests in your growth as an engineer and as a GTM thinker.
- HG Insights is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
