About the role

Campus is seeking experienced, mission-driven, student-centered Web Development instructors to deliver high-impact, online courses as part of our programs. You'll join a growing network of faculty dedicated to creating meaningful learning experiences for students from all backgrounds, particularly those historically underserved by higher education. What You'll Teach Foundations of Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Front-End Development (Responsive Design, UI/UX Principles, Frameworks) JavaScript Programming & Modern ES6+ Concepts Web Development with APIs & JSON/XML Data Integration Back-End Development (Node.js, Express, Databases) Full-Stack Development Concepts & Application Architecture Version Control (Git/GitHub) and Collaborative Development Web Accessibility & Performance Optimization Web Development Capstone / Portfolio Projects Academic Responsibilities and Essential Functions Teach 11-week live, online courses using engaging, student-centered instructional strategies. Foster an inclusive, supportive environment that promotes active learning and student participation. Provide timely, constructive feedback and respond to student inquiries within 24 hours. Host weekly office hours to deepen student understanding and build community. Work with Teaching Assistants to co-manage the course, including mentoring the TA on effective grading and student engagement practices. Evaluate student progress, maintain grade records, and submit mid quarter and end of quarter evaluations. Collaborate with peers and Campus staff to share best practices and continuously improve instruction. Contribute to co-curricular programming (e.g., speaker series, networking events) to enrich the student experience. Stay current on industry and pedagogy trends relevant to your subject area and online teaching.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. (Bachelor's with significant industry and instructional experience may be considered.)
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience at the college/university level.
  • At least 2 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom facilitation skills.
  • Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including LMS and video conferencing.
  • Digital fluency and ability to effectively incorporate AI-powered educational tools into instruction.
  • Proactive, reliable, and committed to high-quality online education.
  • Passion for equity, access, and supporting students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Available to commit 8-10 hours per week per course, with some flexibility for training.
