Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between stakeholder teams including members of People & Culture, clinical operations, IT, and finance to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in scheduling practices.
  • Team Leadership
  • Provide guidance, support and leadership to foster teamwork and collaboration to a team of scheduling specialists, analysts, or project resources as required.
  • Promote and champion a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and collaboration, supporting an environment of continuous high performance.
  • Bachelor's degree required (e.g., Health Administration, Business, Engineering, Human Resources, or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, workforce management, or scheduling transformation.
  • At least 2 years of experience implementing or configuring scheduling systems in a unionized healthcare environment.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in process redesign, business analysis, or project management.
  • Strong understanding of collective agreements and their impact on scheduling practices.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft 365 tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power Apps, Forms) preferred.
  • Experience in large-scale system implementations or healthcare transformation projects is considered an asset.
  • Experience with scheduling platforms such as UKG, Kronos, or equivalent is an asset.
  • Master's degree in a related field is considered an asset.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Project Management (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset.

The Manager, Scheduling Transformation will lead a team of analysts to work closely with internal stakeholders, units, and departments to engage, measure and implement optimized master rotations and scheduling templates across UHN.
