About the role

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) Chief Operating Officer (COO) administers the Director of National Intelligence (DNI's) vision & direction to the ODNI enterprise providing elite support services including synchronizing policy, plans, procedures, & cross-functional issues that enable the ODNI mission. COO oversees most ODNI business operations, including executive support, human resources, security, facilities, continuity, governance, policies, & information management. This is an excepted service position open to the public and all current federal employees at and one grade below. Current federal employees at and one grade below may apply to this position, and if selected will maintain pay set at their current grade and step. Current federal employees at grade levels GS-11 and below are not eligible for this position and their application will not be forwarded to the hiring manager. All current federal employees that apply for this position must submit their most recent SF-50 (i.e., dated within the last 52 weeks from the closing date of this vacancy announcement) Mandatory Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Facilities Management, or a related design field (or equivalent professional experience in design). Prior experience in space planning, facilities coordination, or a similar role, with a demonstrated design or engineering background. Proficiency in AutoCAD (essential; experience with versions 2020 or later preferred), including 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and layering techniques. Familiarity with related software like Revit, SketchUp, or Microsoft Visio is a plus. Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex information from multiple sources. Research, planning, and organization skills, and ability to manage changing and competing priorities under strict timelines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. Desired Requirements: Familiarity with related software like Revit, SketchUp, or Microsoft Visio is a plus.
