Medical Insurance100% Employer Paid Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance401K with Employer ContributionEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Education Reimbursement (related field)Employee Referral Program and Recognition ProgramPaid Holidays and 15 Paid Time-Off Days annuallyJob Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-Responsible to the Director of Quality for the Repair Station Quality System.-Responsible for the overall operation of the inspection function of the Quality Department.-Responsible for the preservation of a satisfactory inspection system.-Provide the necessary technical expertise to assure the high quality of products.-Supervise, train, and direct all assigned personnel to assure that the assigned personnel are correctly performing their duties.-Ensure that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work and that the proper inspection records and forms are completed before the product or component is released for return to service.-Determine that no defective, unserviceable, or non-airworthy parts are being used in any component released by the Repair Station.-Submit reports of any applicable defects of non-airworthy conditions as required by 14 CFR 145.221.-Ensure the proper execution of FAA Form 337, when required.-Inspect all incoming material, including new parts, supplies and articles on which work has been performed by contract outside the Repair Station.-Review purchase orders, certificates of conformance, and approved data attached to incoming parts to assure authenticity and traceability to an approved prior source, as described in AC 20-62.-Monitor warranty performance to recommend the necessary corrective actions.-Oversee the proper tagging and identification of all parts and components as outlined in the Repair Station/Quality Manual.-Assure that rejected and unserviceable parts are properly handled to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.-Establish standards to assure that proper safety precautions are observed in all areas of the Repair Station.-Establish liaison to the FAA on all FAA-Related matters in the absence of the Director of Quality.-Manage the FAA A449 Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program with the assistance of the Human Resources Manager.-Assist in managing the Accessory and Component Equipment Test Substantiation Equivalency Program.-Oversee the Calibration Program to assure the periodic check of all inspection tools and the calibration of precision test equipment.-All other duties as required by the Director of Quality.Education and Experience:-Must be certificated under 14 CFR Part 65.-Must have at least 18 months of documented Quality Assurance experience via training and employment history.Abilities and Skills:-Must read, write, and understand English.-Must be thoroughly familiar with the applicable regulations, inspection methods, techniques, practices, aids, equipment, and tools used to determine airworthiness of the applicable class ratings of the Repair Station on which maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations is being performed.-Must be proficient in using the appropriate types of mechanical and visual inspection aids for articles that are being inspected and returned to service.-Must understand the applicable specifications, tolerances, limitations, and procedures that are established by the manufacturer and/or Administrator for articles that are being inspected and returned to service.-Must understand the regulations, Airworthiness Directives, and/other data that is accepted or approved by the Administrator.-Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and function as a member of the team.-Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.-Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.-Must be proficient in computer programs such as Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs.Physical Requirements:While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to bend, squat, sit, stand, walk, crawl, work in tight spaces, and handle objects.
