About the role

We're looking for a top‑tier Research Scientist to join our tech team. Your core responsibilities will be to: Lead Research for Linkup Design and implement state-of-the-art retrieval and ranking systems for AI agents Prototype, train, and evaluate new models for factual search and multimodal understanding Build robust research pipelines, develop, deploy, and iterate on experiments end-to-end Master the technical scope of your domain and raise the bar for scientific and engineering rigor Collaborate on research roadmaps and drive key modeling and evaluation decisions Own large cross-functional initiatives from exploration to production Work autonomously alongside the CTO and the rest of the Software & ML teams Contribute to a strong research culture through experiment tracking, reviews, and knowledge-sharing

Requirements

• You're a great match if you:
• Are excited to help build Google for AI agents- and believe in Linkup's mission
• Have strong experience in research in information retrieval, computer science or machine learning. PhD is preferred, MS. is a must. (5y of experience minimum)
• Bring hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, embeddings, or information retrieval systems
• HNSW and ANNs are second nature to you
• Care about performance, reliability, and code quality
• Enjoy optimizing performance bottlenecks
• Thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment
