About the role
This position serves as a Human Resources Specialist for the Albuquerque Service Center(ASC) with responsibility for the recruitment/placement function. Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement For the GS-07: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as two or more of the following: researching and analyzing policies, regulations and standard procedures to perform work in a human resources program area under the guidance and direction of senior human resources specialists or a supervisor; and/or Providing guidance and consultative services for a human resources program area to acquire, clarify, or exchange facts or information needed to complete assignments; and/or Applying standard human resources management principles, methods, and practices to solve relative limited problems. OR One full year of graduate level education. The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work; OR An appropriate combination of graduate level education and specialized experience; OR Superior Academic Achievement (go to this site determine if you are eligible: http://www.opm.gov/qualifications/policy/ApplicationOfStds-04.asp). The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. For the GS-09: You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as three or more of the following: providing limited comprehensive recruitment and placement services to management and employees throughout the organizations serviced; and/or Preparing job opportunity announcements in an automated talent acquisition system; and/or Making basic eligibility and qualification determinations under the guidance and review of a supervisor or senior employee; and/or Interpreting and explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards or regulations. OR A master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related; The education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university and demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to the work; OR An appropriate combination of specialized experience and education (only graduate education in excess of 18 semester hours may be used to qualify applicants for this grade level).
