About the role
The Human Resources Generalist will support dedicated portions of the company across a span of HR processes, assist employees with questions, and deliver HR services and programs throughout the employee lifecycle. This role will build strong partnerships with our employees and operations in order to support the culture, HR Department goals, and business objectives of our company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide frontline HR support for assigned business unit(s), visiting and/or working on site as needed depending on business unit. Provide guidance and interpretation of company policies to managers and employees. Handle frontline employee and applicant questions and guide appropriately, either resolving or escalating complex and/or sensitive matters. As assigned by the HR Business Partner, address initial employee relations matters. Participate in conducting investigations where necessary. Assist with supporting performance issues and providing guidance for resolution (advising managers of documentation procedures, gathering facts and existing documentation, preparing timelines, following up with improvement plans) Create and monitor Job Requisitions/Job Postings, partnering with Recruiting team as necessary. Collaborate with operation and recruiting team on staffing efforts and hiring tactics Assist with overseeing the successful onboarding of new employees, working with recruiting/screening team as needed. Process HRIS changes and transactions, ensuring internal policies are adhered to. Resolve payroll related discrepancies with both employees and managers. Communicate and support companywide processes as they relate to the business unit (performance reviews, merit, open enrollment, referral programs, etc). Create and review various reports to maintain consistency across operations Assist with special projects within the HR team as needed Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, Business Management, or related field strongly preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in an HR dedicated role is required. Experience handling employee relations is preferred. Experience supporting warehousing or front line labor employees strongly preferred. Experience with Workday or UKG preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted. Knowledge, Skills, and abilities: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to learn and effectively use HRIS applications. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and exercise good judgment in dealing with sensitive information. Ability to utilize independent judgement. Strong knowledge of legal requirements and standards around HR practices. Ability to work effectively in a team. Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision and with a strong sense of self-motivation. Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively in a changing environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to sufficiently read, speak, and write on a professional level.
