- Supports the investigation process of incidents to determine root causes and prepares/directs corrective and preventive action plans. Identify and determine correction action for systemic EHS issues within the region.
- Contribute to the Sector, Region, Group and Division sustainability vision, strategy, systems and business processes. Provide information and direction to leadership on EHS matters that impact our business.
- Supports response actions to emergency situations.
- Assures that Corporate EHS requirements and programs are available or translated into local languages as appropriate.
- Additional responsibilities may include providing subject matter expertise in areas such as: Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering/Management, Safety, Security,
- Product Stewardship and other EHS Systems. This may entail leading or participating on a related Corporate Functional Team projects.
- Knowledge and use of Ergonomic tools, i.e., Humantech and trained in Ergonomics, manual material handling or similar.
- Worked with or exposure to Machine guarding practices, i.e., work with outside service to remediate machine guarding opportunities.
- Involvement with environmental disciplines such as; Wastewater treatment system, Stormwater pollution prevention, plating operations, SPCC plans, recommended.
- Work with Corporate Risk Management and Supply Chain to liase with Alight on Workers Compensation case management in Canada.
Requirements
- Required Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. (Advance degree in one applicable area preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years experience in one or more of the applied areas in the EHS field
- Minimum 5 years working in a distribution center/ HQ or manufacturing setting
- Must be able to travel across Canada and in the US without any restrictions
- Legally authorized

Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a EHS Business Regional Manager - Canada & HQ/DCs to join our EHS team. This role offers benefits from day one and is remote with required travel of up to 50% across Canada and the United States. The expected annual salary range for this role is $145,000 - $180,000 a year. This position is also eligible to a bonus program. Join Our Team: Making a Difference at Eaton This position provides EHS and sustainability leadership to 13 sites within the Canada division and 6 sites within the HQ/ DC (Headquarters / Distribution Center in the US) division under the direction of the PCS (Protection, Control and Solutions) EHS Group Leader and in conjunction with Canada and HQ/DC leadership. The incumbent is accountable for the following: identifying and managing significant environmental aspects and health and safety hazards; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; managing interfaces with governmental authorities; supporting actions during and following crises; supporting medical case management; ensures that all facilities are in compliance with applicable Federal, Country, State/Province and local laws and fulfillment of all Eaton Corporation EHS and Security objectives. The incumbent is responsible for providing technical and tactical support within the assigned business including defining objectives and targets; investigation of incidents and establishment of corrective and preventive action plans; communication of regulatory requirements; capital planning; identifying and sharing transferrable practices, evaluating, and developing EHS talent, and providing necessary support for site EHS programs.
