Procurement Engineer

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations/Product Teams to achieve metrics in assurance of components supply to meet printer's shipments & quality
• Proactively optimize and continuously improve manufacturing delivery, part quality, and cost structures.
• Qualify tooling and parts that meet design specifications and functionality
• Co-develops solutions with R&D Proposes and implements DFx solutions with R&D to achieve best cost at Day 1
• Creates commodity strategies and technical processes development roadmaps to meet NPIs needs
• Selects, develops, manages the sourcing of the parts to enable parts delivery to our manufacturing partners
• Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (Regular Office Hours)
• Work Locations: East or Central Singapore

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Sheet Metal and Machining manufacturing, quality management, molding processes, and secondary processes (such as laser cutting, bending, machining, inserting, painting, etc.).
• Proven experience in sheet metal and machining molds & fixtures design (including stamping, rectifying, and measuring), alongside direct experience in designing metrology fixtures.
• Understanding of metal fabrication processes in hard tooling design, progressive tooling, soft/combo tooling, stamping, welding/soldering, extrusion, casting, and secondary operations in chemical surface treatment or coating processes.
• Excellent application and working knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility (Gage R&R) techniques, Tolerance Analysis, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD systems.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in planning and executing complex projects across multi-functional corporate groups, including external suppliers.
• Strong track record in collaborating with suppliers to achieve tooling deliverables, maintain cost competitiveness, and assure stable parts supply amidst fluctuating demands.
• Willing/able to travel frequently to our manufacturing partners and supplier bases located in the Johor Bahru area.
