About the role
This role sits within the Accounting Operations - Account to Report team in the Centre of Excellence. As Senior Reporting Accountant , you will be responsible for executing and coordinating accounting and close activities for a cluster of countries, ensuring delivery in line with group policies, governance requirements, and reporting timelines. You will play a key role in supporting both management and statutory reporting, working closely with local accounting teams and wider finance functions to ensure compliant, accurate, and efficient close processes. The role also involves identifying and escalating complex or non-routine accounting matters. Main Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Coordinate and deliver assigned accounting and close activities in line with close calendars, company policies, and local statutory requirements Prepare standard journals, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and review business journals, escalating non-standard items as required Manage local electronic interfaces (where applicable), including oversight of invoice flows, issue resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives Drive implementation and ongoing execution of the internal financial controls framework Support internal audits and ensure timely implementation of remediation actions Coordinate external audits at entity level, including documentation provision, tracking of requests, and escalation of key issues Apply technical accounting expertise to support reporting and close activities, ensuring appropriate judgement and escalation where needed Execute month-end close activities, including ERP reconciliations and variance analysis, ensuring risks and delays are flagged early Ensure compliance with local financial regulations, tax laws, and company policies Collaborate with other accounting operations teams (AP, Tax, Treasury) to support compliance and operational efficiency Identify and recommend process improvements and control enhancements based on close and operational insights Support balance sheet planning in collaboration with FP&A and business partners, including submissions to group consolidation systems Your Qualifications & Experience Professional certification in Finance or Accounting (e.g. IFRS and local GAAP accreditation) Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in controllership, financial reporting, or audit Strong experience in financial statement preparation and ownership Proficiency in MS Office , particularly Excel Experience with financial systems such as SAP Competencies This role requires several important behavioral competencies to be successful: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders Ability to work through ambiguity and solve complex issues Effective decision-making and prioritization skills Results-driven with a proactive approach Sound judgement and ability to escalate within defined governance frameworks Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work cross-functionally within Finance
