Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Familiarity with and utilizing department design and drafting standards

  • Perform land development and zoning code research for civil-site development projects
  • Work with discipline lead engineer in identifying scope changes in projects
  • Review and check submittal drawings and documentation
  • Ability to lead small size teams in coordinating civil efforts and keeping the team focused on scope, schedule and budget
  • Assist with estimating and scheduling professional service hours and assessing the progress and quality of civil/structural work
  • Ideal Background
  • Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • Registration: Engineer in Training (EIT) registration is required. Professional licensure is highly desired.
  • Experience: This position requires up to 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in civil-site engineering in the industrial setting. Previous experience in commercial, government, or infrastructure setting may be considered for this position.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintaining focus and re-prioritizing as necessary to meet multiple commitments
  • Knowledge and application of associated standards (ASCE, ACI, AASHTO, AREMA, NRCS, NFPA, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of civil stormwater analysis software including operating and interpreting results
  • Ability to actively listen and ascertain the needs of Teammates and Clients
  • Ability to work with a team to complete small and large projects
  • Able to assist with the development of presentations of Hargrove Engineers & Constructors services
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Civil3D software is a plus
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Virtual team skills and cross divisional relationships are developed, and able to provide interoffice execution leadership and support

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.
