We are looking for a S ystem Operations Engineer to join our Operations & Logistics Engineering unit, within the Navigation & Exploration domain. You will work on the programmes shaping the future of satellite navigation and exploration , including Galileo and Moonlight , helping bring space systems to full operational readiness. You will apply systems engineering to the operational domain of space mission systems, focusing in particular on: Definition of the System/Mission Operations Concept (ConOps) and of nominal and contingency operational scenarios Derivation and definition of operational and operability requirements, to be applied to the system design Contribution to the definition of ground segment requirements from an operational perspective Analysis, characterisation and modelling of operational processes and mission timelines Definition of the operations organisation: roles, responsibilities and operational interfaces Development of operational products: plans (e.g. Mission/Flight Operations Plan), manuals and operational procedures (nominal, special, contingency) Definition and setup of operational tools Validation of operational products and verification of their end-to-end consistency Planning and support to operational validation campaigns: execution of scenarios, system validation tests Support to system operations development throughout the mission phases, supporting Operations Readiness Reviews and Operational Handover You will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, in an environment where curiosity and initiative matter as much as technical soundness. We are looking for: Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering / Electronic Engineering / Telecommunications Engineering / Management Engineering with a strong technical orientation to systems Junior profile or recent graduate Knowledge of the aerospace domain (preferred) Previous experience, even at an introductory level, in operational concept definition, operational analysis and operational validation of space systems is considered a plus Ability to work autonomously and take initiative, combined with intellectual curiosity and a constant drive to question the status quo and bring innovative solutions Good command of English (B2) Proficiency with MS Office Availability to travel abroad for limited periods Comfortable with software tools and a hands-on attitude in getting the most out of them
