About the role

The Senior Civil Engineer will be responsible for creating and leading a regional aviation civil engineering group to help expand our service offerings to aviation clients in the region. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for growing market presence, developing a local team, and serving as the project manager to champion and lead the planning and design of airport projects for clients across a spectrum of project work from facilities, terminals, runways, air traffic control towers, navigation, and airspace studies to water, gas, and power design and analysis. These responsibilities include: Expertly collaborates with aviation clients to grasp project vision. Oversee and lead the engineering project lifecycle from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. Utilize engineering design software for reviewing and editing design plans and modeling. Applies FAA and airport safety knowledge in project work. Evaluate quality assurance and quality controls on project work within the team. Analyze system deficiencies and provide improvement alternatives to meet project goals. Applies technical writing skills for Request for Proposals, report writing, project specifications, and memorandums. Ensures precision and safety through meticulous design. Tackles design challenges creatively, resolving complex problems. Engage with community members, government officials, and other stakeholders to communicate project goals, address concerns, and gather input. Develop, inspire, and mentor reporting personnel. Stays aware of federal regulations that impact the aviation industry. Partners with the regional director and operations managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving revenue growth, and expanding market presence.
