$30.00 to Negotiable HourlyGeneral DescriptionJob FunctionsSupport faculty in online course development for distance learning delivery.Assist faculty in the conversion of traditional courses to distance learning through instructional design and development, consultation, workshops and seminars.Provide faculty development related to the practical and pedagogical skills necessary for developing and delivering interactive and engaging distance learning courses.Consult with faculty on course design and advice on best practices.Assist in the production of online courses.Assist the review of online courses using a university rubricContribute to the development of educational materials and computer training materials; provide administrative support for the Blackboard Learning System.Advocate and present techniques for the appropriate use of instructional technology, including use of LMS, web conferencing, and new media.Marginal FunctionsOther duties as assigned.During declared campus emergencies, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off campus location or place of residence.Departmental RequirementsExperience in the development of distance learning courses and digital instructional materials.Theoretical and applied experience with learning theory connecting solutions to curricular goals.Experience implementing a range of Web 2.0 technologies for teaching and learning.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.Vision insurance
