Manager EHR Applications (EPIC Certification Required)

About the role

Serves as the primary point of contact for IT managers and directors, overseeing associated application teams and managing analyst staff through resource allocation, scheduling, and performance assessments. It involves close collaboration with IS&T and operational leadership to establish priorities, resolve barriers, and ensure smooth operations. The position partners with other application teams to drive system integration and efficiency, while also developing and documenting procedures for implementing system changes. Acting as a liaison between end users, vendors, and third parties, the role addresses user issues, troubleshoots problems, and analyzes application content to negotiate requested modifications. Additionally, it prepares detailed specifications as needed and maintains professional interactions consistent with Jefferson's values. Job Duties Serves as primary point person for IT manager/ Director for associated application teams Provides resource allocation/ assignment delegation to analyst staff Collaborates with IS&T and operational leadership to drive priorities and escalate/ resolve barriers and issues Manages analyst staff (Scheduling, Performance Assessment) Partners with other application teams to drive system integration and efficiencies Develops / documents procedures for implementing system changes and other tasks Serves as a liaison between end users, third parties, and vendors Troubleshoots problems and questions from end users Analysis of application content and negotiation of any user requested modifications Prepares details of specifications as needed Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 3 years Direct management experience and
• 5 years Direct Epic build, implementation and support experience in addition to and
• 7 years Progressive experience in Information Services, or a combination of Information Services and direct healthcare
• experience.
• Large Hospital/IDN Information Technology Experience and/or Healthcare Operations Experience
• Program/Large Project Management
• Implementation/Upgrade Facilitation
• Integrated Systems Architecture Planning, Development and Implementation
• Technical Collaboration (e.g. Interfaces, Hardware and Reporting)
• Team Leadership
• Coaching and Mentoring
• Triaging On-call/DR/BC
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• EPIC Certification - Epic Systems Upon Hire
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Healthcare
• Master's Degree in Computer Science or related Healthcare
• 5 years Direct management experience
• 7 years Direct Epic build on current software version
• 10 years Progressive experience in Information Services, or a combination of Information Services and direct healthcare
• PMP - Project Management Professional - Project Management Institute Upon Hire
• Physical Demands
• Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
