The largest food processors within the fruit, vegetable, meat, poultry, seafood, and bakery industries are among our customers. The ASME Welder position is located on-site in Russellville, AR. The facility manufactures food processing equipment for the poultry industry. BENEFITS - Start from day 1! (20%) Must have the skills to perform both MIG and TIG weld processes on thin gauge stainless sheet. (25%) Must have skills to produce sanitary welds that meet USDA requirements. (10%) Must be able to effectively communicate within a team environment. Ability to take oral and written instructions and complete tasks within the defined labor standards. (10%) Must adhere to all internal operating procedures and safety policies. Must maintain acceptable housekeeping practices in designated work area. (10%) May be cross-trained in job functions based on capacity requirements. (5%) Recommends set-up and process changes for improvement in productivity and efficiency. (5%) Maintains production rates according to established standards. (10%) Notifies supervisor of any problems with procedures or equipment in order to maintain the highest degree of safety, inventory accuracy and productivity. (5%) Essential Functions Must be able to use hand tools. Must be able to read weld/assembly blueprints. Welds all subassemblies into completed components using correct welding processes. Tack welds all subassemblies and components. Prepares all related paperwork and closes work orders in MRP. Identifies and corrects problems. Tracks problems and seeks solutions to them. Set-up and operate weld equipment, turn tables, drill presses, and bench grinders as necessary per standard operating procedures under minimal supervision Cleaning, testing and finishing tasks as required Complete accurate and timely material tracking information Responsible for process monitoring and identification of weld and assembly defects Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in safe, clean and satisfactory operating condition Support manufacturing readiness in all phases of the new product introduction process to meet or exceed launch schedules Other job responsibilities and required skills associated with this position that are in the job matrix QUALIFICATIONS: Must be ASME certified or have the ability to become ASME certified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the potential to be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE : High school diploma or general education degree (GED) LANGUAGE SKILLS : Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16". REASONING ABILITY : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS : May be required to have a forklift and crane licenses. Will be required to pass welding certifications. COMPUTER SKILLS : Basic knowledge of Syteline, TeamCenter, and other programs as necessary.
