Lead the development and execution of a new software supply chain capability within Engineering Productivity, specifically within the Engineering Practice Improvement space. This role provides strategic direction and technical leadership to improve secure, scalable, and engineering practices that help internal engineering and product teams deliver software safely and efficiently. You'll partner closely with Information Security, cloud/infrastructure, platform, product, and internal engineering teams to define a secure "golden path" for software delivery, reduce handoffs, embed security into development pipelines, and modernize practices across a complex, matrixed enterprise environment. As the Engineering Manager, you will assess the current landscape, identify gaps and opportunities, determine the skills and team structure needed to mature the capability, and provide technical direction to engineers and delivery partners while balancing modernization, standardization, usability, security, and adoption. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Designing Solutions Review technical solution design and architecture and provide guidance and direction. Take part in system design and architecture conversations with the team to land approaches to deliver solutions. Review technical solution and supports the execution of the solution Developing Software Has Developed software. Can read code and stays up to date on best practices. In a buy decision, works with the team to decide on criteria and vendor selection. Execute or manage the overall technology solutions, platforms for the product groups and associated vendor relationships. Coaching Engineers Holding regular 1:1s with team members and team meeting, Provides constructive feedback, guidance and coaching to help engineers grow their skills and experience. Provides career planning advice to engineers and creates development plans to help them achieve their career goals which leverages their skills and capabilities and provides them with learning opportunities.
