Responsibilities

  • As our automation test engineer, you'll be experienced in QA automation testing, embedding quality across the full software development lifecycle.
  • You'll take ownership over improving existing and designing new automated testing approaches. This includes defining standards, release readiness criteria, and maintaining clear test plans aligned to delivery cycles.
  • You'll be hands-on delivering manual and automated testing across web, cloud, and integrated systems, working closely with development teams across a modern DevOps environment.
  • You'll write quality code for developing, maintaining, and executing automation test scripts using suitable platforms.
  • Partnering with developers, the QA Lead, and stakeholders, you'll identify defects early, support UAT, and help evaluate and select the tools and frameworks that best fit our environment.
  • You'll integrate test automation into the development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines.

  • Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience as an Automation Test Engineer with a track record of designing test strategies and building automation frameworks from scratch
  • Hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Playwright/Selenium or equivalent frameworks is highly regarded
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, defect tracking, and SDLC principles
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, DevOps, and Postman
  • Comfortable working within a DevOps-led environment, experience in UI, backend and API testing with exposure to technologies such as C#, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML (Preferred)
  • Proactive, detail-focused, and confident working autonomously with genuine ownership of product quality
  • Exhibit personal attributes such as diligence, organization, and a friendly approach in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • Degree/Diploma in relevant fields & Quality Assurance Certification (Preferred)
  • Must have the right to work in New Zealand
