Software and Application Manager (Japanese speaking)

Role Overview This role is responsible for managing enterprise SAP S/4HANA applications and supporting global ERP transformation initiatives for multi-national manufacturing organisations across APAC and overseas subsidiaries. The candidate will oversee SAP Sales & Distribution (SD)application lifecycle activities including solution governance, application enhancement management, deployment coordination, production support oversight, and global template standardisation. The role requires strong experience in enterprise application delivery, cross-border ERP rollout programs, stakeholder coordination, and SAP S/4HANA application management within multinational business environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage SAP S/4HANA SD application lifecycle including governance, enhancements, deployment, and production support
• Support global ERP transformation and multi-country SAP rollout projects
• Drive business process harmonisation and global template standardisation
• Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), UAT, migration rehearsal, and go-live readiness
• Manage change requests, enhancement prioritisation, and release coordination
• Ensure system stability, performance, and issue resolution across regions
• Act as liaison between business stakeholders, IT teams, and regional subsidiaries
• Lead and mentor junior consultants and support PMO reporting and governance activities
• Job Requirements
• Minimum Degree qualification in any field.
• 5-10 years of experience in SAP S/4HANA or enterprise application (ERP) projects
• Must have consulting firm experience (SAP implementation or ERP transformation)
• Strong experience in SAP Sales & Distribution (SD) or Order-to-Cash processes
• Proven experience in global ERP rollout, template standardisation, and multi-country implementation projects
• Experience managing application lifecycle activities including enhancement, testing, deployment, and production support
• Strong stakeholder management experience across business and IT teams
• Experience working in multinational or manufacturing environments preferred
• Preferably bilingual in English and Japanese (for HQ coordination and regional communication)
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams in complex environments
• Certifications or Equivalent Knowledge
• SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA SD or equivalent SAP certification
• SAP S/4HANA implementation / functional certification (preferred)
• Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination (IPA, Japan) or equivalent IT foundation knowledge
• Knowledge of enterprise systems lifecycle, ERP implementation methodology, and application governance frameworks
• Understanding of IT service management and system change control processes
