Oaks Mackay Rivermarque Hotel is excited to expand our housekeeping department and are currently looking for a Night Common Area Cleaner to join us on Monday and Tuesday nights . The Housekeeping department is integral to ensuring guest satisfaction, maintaining productivity, and upholding the high standards of cleanliness and presentation set by Minor Hotels. The Common Area Cleaner involves servicing, cleaning, and maintaining shared guest areas throughout the property. Key Responsibilities Include: Cleaning and maintaining all common guest areas to the highest standards, ensuring all areas are always hygienic and visually appealing. Assisting with after-hours guest enquiries, addressing issues promptly, and occasionally supporting late check-ins. Collaborating with team members to meet daily cleaning targets and operational goals. Adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards. Using specialised cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively - with all training and tools provided. Building strong, professional relationships with team members, guests, and contractors to help foster a positive, respectful work environment. Shift Details (subject to change): Monday: 10.30pm until 6am Tuesday: 10.30pm until 6am Please note, this is a physically demanding role requiring regular heavy lifting, manual handling of bins and equipment, and movement of bulky items Hourly Rates (excluding superannuation): Monday - Friday: $31.19 per hour Saturday: $37.43 per hour Sunday: $43.66 per hour Successful candidates will have: Prior experience in housekeeping or cleaning roles will be highly regarded. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Basic understanding of safe handling and usage of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training will be provided). Good physical fitness and stamina, with the ability to perform repetitive tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods. Professional and clear communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and contractors. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. A positive and proactive attitude with a strong work ethic. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
