Selections will be based on the needs of the agency and availability of positions and funding. This announcement may be used to fill additional vacancies within the National Capital Region. Specialized experience is experience that equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to work of the position to be filled. To qualify for the GS-14 grade level, you must possess at least one (1) full year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent performing the following duties: Conducting a broad range of investigations and directly associated activities (e.g., enforcement actions, presenting investigative findings, preparing written legal documents) which required making evaluations of situations and complex decisions to combat illicit activities related to trade, travel, finance, and immigration. Contributing to investigations with increasing levels of independence, responsibility, and/or authority over the course of tenure as a special agent. Collaborating with and/or influencing law enforcement partners while performing assigned investigative activities. Holding roles on interagency, multi-jurisdictional, international, and/or inter-organizational inquiries and investigations. Demonstrating flexibility by navigating various environments, investigative programs, and/or temporary duty assignments. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. Qualification claims will be subject to verification. In addition to meeting the eligibility and qualification requirements, candidates must have a prior passing score for the Supervisory Situational Judgement Test (SSJT) assessment, as a requirement for placement on a Certificate of Eligibles.
