- Provides entrepreneurial leadership that drives Tufts Medicine's philanthropic commitments to outstanding clinical care, cutting edge research, and state of the art treatments.
- Builds a portfolio of 125+ prospects and donors.
- Cultivates donor relationships, solicits gifts, and ensures proper stewardship, executing strategic "moves" and requests with donors and prospects to meet financial and activity goals.
- In partnership with Prospect Management and development leaders, establishes long-term cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies to both attract support from new donors and maintain support from existing donors.
- Works independently and with development communications staff to develop fundable proposals and carries out all of the documentation required by prospective funders.
- Ensures that all activity is accurately captured and tracked in CRM as appropriate.
- Creates and maintains strong relationships with Tufts Medicine executive leaders, physicians, and scientists.
- Translates science and program related strategies into compelling funding opportunities for donors.
- Supports and coaches physicians and leaders on fundraising best practices.
- Physical Requirements:
- This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending/descending stairs, and operating office equipment.
- Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate, and exchange information.
- Ability to see and read computer displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
- Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate computer keyboard.
