Responsibilities

  • Assist Associate Directors and Program Directors in overseeing quality of care within the Child program
  • Collaborate with Associate Director of Group - Day, to ensure appropriate staffing
  • Provide coverage for EIOP as either acting manager onsite or facilitating groups
  • Oversee group room staff scheduling for EIOP programming
  • Oversight and implementation of program material and curriculum
  • Continued development and refinement of Group Curriculum, including evolving curriculum to better engage patients
  • Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as other evidenced-based therapies
  • Oversee and manage group therapy operations. This includes administrative responsibilities as well as mentoring and developing group therapists within the program.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with other leaders in the under 18 programs as well as within the Northbrook facility and Compass-wide.
  • Providing clinical supervision for staff working towards licensure, where applicable
  • Managing a team of group therapists
  • Provide Group Therapy
  • Engaging in crisis management, as needed
  • Participating in professional development activities
  • As indicated, participating in community outreach
  • Interview, hire staff, as needed
  • Engage in frequent communication and collaboration with team members via rounds, EMR notes, emails, and face-to-face communication.
  • Writes and delivers performance reviews for the group therapists whom you manage
  • Provide direct feedback, attune to team needs and lead team building, and professional development.
  • Carry a primary caseload as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's level clinician with 4+ years of post-master's clinical experience conducting individual, family, and/or group therapy.
  • Clinical licensed required: PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT or LCPC
  • Knowledge and experience of group dynamics utilizing CBT, ACT, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing, among other effective treatments.
  • Experience with patients in crisis.
  • Experience supervising mental health workers, both licensed and seeking licensure.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple demands simultaneously in a fast paced and changing environment.
  • Strength in collaborating and consulting with various programs and their differing needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • This role may also be eligible for an annual bonus which is dependent upon individual and company performance.

About This Role Compass Health Center is seeking a leader for our Child Evening IOP program overseeing Group Therapy at our Northbrook location. We are looking for an experienced therapist who will lead evidence-based group therapy to children and who will lead, manage, and mentor group therapists within the program. Our Child program works with patients ages 5-14.
