Senior Manager- VPMS

Responsibilities

• VPMS & Product Modeling Leadership
• Lead VPMS (Variable Product Modeling System) implementation, configuration, and optimization for life insurance products.
• Design and manage complex pricing models including premium, surrender, COI, death benefits, and policy servicing calculations.
• Drive product setup using Product Studio / Integral (Assure) / Life Asia platforms .
• Insurance Domain & Functional Expertise
• Manage core insurance modules including New Business, Policy Servicing, Claims, Billing, and Reinstatement processes .
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for insurance systems.
• Support life, group, and health insurance products including traditional and unit-linked plans.
• Project & Delivery Management
• Lead end-to-end delivery lifecycle - requirement gathering, solution design, development, testing, and production release.
• Manage multiple stakeholders across business, actuarial, and IT teams.
• Identify risks, ensure compliance, and drive on-time delivery with quality benchmarks.
• Leadership & Team Management
• Lead and mentor teams of business analysts, developers, and QA professionals .
• Foster a strong collaboration between business and technical teams .
• Drive Agile/Scrum-based deliveries and continuous improvement practices.
• Digital & Reporting Initiatives
• Support digital transformation initiatives and migration programs in VPMS and Life Asia.
• Oversee reporting and analytics using tools such as Sisense and Jasper .
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (MCA preferred).
• 15-20+ years of experience in Insurance IT with strong techno-functional exposure.
• Hands-on experience in: VPMS (Rates & Pricing)
• Life Asia / Policy Asia / Integral (Assure)
• Insurance product configuration and modeling
• Strong experience in SQL, DB2, AS400, COBOL or legacy systems is a plus.
