JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Manager to serve as the operational backbone of our accounting function. This role sits between hands-on execution and strategic oversight - you will both roll up your sleeves on core accounting tasks and take ownership of the close process, internal controls, and team coordination. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in general accounting, experience in digital media or a fast-paced environment, and is ready to grow into a Controller-level role. A CPA license (active or in progress) is strongly preferred. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: Own and manage the full monthly close process for different entities, including preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Oversee all core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP Review and analyze talent and creator contracts; review revenue share and participation statements and ensure proper revenue recognition Manage and coordinate an staff accountants and at times senior accountants on day-to-day AP, AR, and reconciliation functions Work cross-functionally with sales, production, operations, and legal teams to ensure accurate accounting for diverse revenue streams (e.g., sponsorships, licensing, media sales) Review sales commission statements and support commissions reporting Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Support external audits and coordinate with tax advisors, shared services, and technical accounting teams Support systems implementations and process improvement initiatives Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed by leadership
