You will be creating and editing content that serves the wider Cruise Globe community and supports the continued growth of The Cruise Maps, giving a varied and interesting creative brief from day one. Cruising is the fastest-growing segment in travel, and this is a rare opportunity to join a fast-growing, highly ambitious team working to define a new category in travel. The Opportunity We are hiring a Video Editor to join our remote team in the Philippines and help power a growing content engine across The Cruise Globe and The Cruise Maps. This is a focused, execution-led role. You will work directly to briefs set by our team, editing raw footage, UGC, and community content into high-performing short-form videos for organic social and paid channels. You will not be expected to own creative strategy, but you will be encouraged to suggest improvements and bring your eye to every brief you receive. A major advantage of this role is the volume and quality of content available to you from day one, including a library of community UGC, and regular collaboration with Emma Cruises, one of the world's leading cruise content creators. Success in this role is measured by: Consistent, high-quality edits delivered on time and to brief Strong pacing, hooks, and visual storytelling across short-form formats Fast iteration based on performance data and feedback Organised, clean file and asset management throughout What You'll Be Doing Edit and Deliver Short-Form Video Content Edit raw footage, UGC, and b-roll into engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and paid social Add text overlays, captions, transitions, sound design, and colour grading to produce polished, platform-native content Create strong hooks at the start of every video to maximise retention and scroll-stopping impact Apply speed ramps, jump cuts, and modern editing techniques suited to social media audiences Repurpose longer-form content into short, high-impact clips across formats Work to Brief and Iterate Fast Follow briefs clearly and deliver to agreed timelines, often with quick turnaround requirements Proactively suggest creative tweaks that could improve engagement or conversion without going off-brief Iterate on winning edits by producing variations based on performance data Incorporate feedback efficiently and maintain creative quality through revisions Maintain Quality and Organisation Colour grade footage to a clean, consistent, and professional standard Edit and retouch photography in Lightroom using brand presets where required Organise raw files, project files, and final exports in a clean, consistent folder structure Maintain brand consistency across all content Stay Current and Bring Ideas Actively monitor what is performing well on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube within travel and cruise content Use AI tools to accelerate production, source b-roll, or enhance workflows where appropriate Flag trends or creative approaches that could work well for The Cruise Globe What We're Looking For Essential 3+ years of professional video editing experience, ideally for social-first or e-commerce brands Strong portfolio demonstrating versatility across different formats, including short-form organic social (Reels, TikTok, Shorts), paid social ad creatives, and higher-quality refined edits suited to websites or brand use.
