Housekeeping Supervisor - Moxy Vanderbilt Hillsboro Village

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision:
• Supervise and lead the housekeeping team, including room attendants and cleaners.
• Assign tasks, schedule shifts, and monitor performance to ensure adherence to established standards.
• Operational Support:
• Assist in coordinating daily housekeeping operations, including room cleaning, public area maintenance, and inventory management.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established protocols.
• Training and Development:
• Train new housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and guest service standards.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness.
• Quality Assurance:
• Monitor the quality of cleaning services provided, address any deficiencies, and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Uphold Moxy's standards of cleanliness and organization throughout the hotel.
• Guest Satisfaction:
• Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests, inquiries, and concerns related to housekeeping services.
• Foster a positive guest experience by ensuring a clean and comfortable environment.
• Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Light work - exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 40 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Shift availability:
• Day Shift (Preferred)
• Night Shift (Preferred)

Requirements

• 1-2 years experience in Housekeeping
• Previous experience in a housekeeping supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
• Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning techniques, and use of cleaning equipment.
• Excellent organizational & communication skills to coordinate tasks and interact with guests and team members.
• Proficiency in using housekeeping management software or similar systems is a plus.
• *Work Schedule: This position may require flexibility in scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the hotel's operational needs*
