Workplace Safety & Health Officer Cum ECO

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with government health, safety and environmental regulations by enforcing all safety requirements and in-house safety rules on construction sites
• Implement continuous improvements to the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) system through effective application of ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management standards
• Monitor construction sites regularly and conduct safety inspections to identify hazards and ensure safe work practices
• Identify and recommend best practices and initiatives to reduce work process risks, increase safety awareness and improve safe work procedures
• Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) team to support safety initiatives and implement necessary changes
• Required competencies and certifications
• Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) and Environmental Control Officer (ECO) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a construction firm
• Knowledge of safety, health, and environmental legislation and risk management procedures
• Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ConSASS, and GGBS standards
