Maintain turf health through mowing, aerating, fertilising, and pest control Set up and maintain course elements including bunkers, hazards, and tee markers Operate and maintain greenkeeping equipment safely and efficiently Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all work areas Communicate effectively with team members, management, and golf course users Apply golf rules and etiquette in course maintenance activities Support renovation projects and ornamental area maintenance as required Monitor and report on course conditions and operational issues Attend training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge Uphold The Mere's values and maintain high standards of professionalism Please note that we believe in flexibility and multi-skilling, and you may be asked to do different tasks from time to time to enable us to meet the needs of our guests and colleagues. NVQ Level 2 in Sports Turf Maintenance (or working towards) preferred PA1, PA2, PA6 spraying certificates desirable Minimum 2 years of experience in greenkeeping, sports turf, or grounds maintenance Experience operating turf machinery including mowers, tractors, and implements Knowledge of turf care, including mowing, aeration, irrigation, and nutrition Understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations, including safe machinery use and COSHH Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude A passion for golf course presentation and delivering exceptional playing conditions What is in it for you?
