Job Description Position Summary The Department of Clinical Sciences at Colorado State University seeks applications for a 12-month continuing (non-tenure-track) Instructor, Assistant, Associate Professor in Neurology. This position will be housed in the Department of Clinical Sciences located on the Veterinary Health Campus of Colorado State University. The neurology service at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a broad array of diseases that either primarily or secondarily affect the nervous system. The Neurology service has high-quality facilities, a strong clinical case load, and a great support team. For full consideration, applications must be submitted through Workday by 11:59pm (MT) on July 6th, 2026. Email or mail-in applications will not be accepted. This position will be open until filled. Work authorization visa sponsorship may be available based on the specific situation for the selected final candidate. A signing bonus may be considered for successful candidates. Essential Job Duties Teaching 40-45% Clinical: Provide instruction to 3rd and 4th-year Veterinary Medical Students in the clinical environment. Participate in the training of neurology residents and small animal interns on rotation through the neurology service. Didactic: Provide lecture and laboratory instruction in the DVM curriculum on topics related to neurology Service and Outreach 40-45% Position will have an up to a 34-week clinical appointment (range 30 - 34) in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (small animal focused but opportunities to partner with other species management are available) Provide consultation for veterinarians in Colorado and other states Develop and participate in professional continuing education for veterinarians Research 5-20% Continuing (non-tenure) track faculty are expected to collaborate with other faculty within or external to the service on research projects and contribute to publication of new information.
