About the role
You will serve as an Assistant Program Manager for Logistics (APML) in the Mission Systems Logistics Department at the Naval Air Warfare Center-Aircraft Division. This position will provide senior-level logistics leadership to the Combat Identification (CID) Air Traffic Management (ATM) team within the Naval Air Traffic Management System Program (PMA-213) and will be responsible to the PMA-213 Product Support Manager. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DA-05) or grade level (GS-12/13) or in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Demonstrating advanced working knowledge of acquisition life cycle management for major aircraft weapon system to include, but not limited to the development of technical analyses and logistics plans, strategies, and requirements as well as funding summaries and cost estimates in support of assigned program/project; 2) Preparing and presenting oral and written presentations to program stakeholder, team members, and agency personnel to prove and justify deviations from established logistics policies and procedures; 3) Leading a diverse team of logisticians and/or other personnel through various milestone stages such as Early Acquisition, Design interface, Development, Interim Support, and Operations and Sustainment; and 4) Developing, maintaining, and executing sustainment budgets for a major air weapons system program/project; and 5) Interfacing internal and external contacts to resolve integrated logistical support (ILS) problems by developing new approaches and procedures.
