Senior Crude Quality Advisor

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality program is operating as designed, including blend program compliance, performance monitoring, equipment operation and data acquisition.
• Review results of every outgoing batch daily and investigate the cause of any non-conformance.
• Undertake routine and ad hoc analysis related to issues and optimization.
• Ensure manual sampling and lab testing is conducted, the results align with online readings and working with Operations and Maintenance, ensure required changes are reflected in online set points, alarms and equipment calibration.
• Build and modify various product quality specifications and develop product quality KPIs for monthly reporting.
• Create product sampling, retention and management program.
• Enhance work stream interfaces with internal departments, consulting with internal departments on changes to quality data systems.
• Escalate non-conformance issues and proactively assist in resolving.
• Assist with resolving third-party facility non-conformances.
• Apply continuous improvement practices to the program.

Requirements

• Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant technical certification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the crude oil industry.
• We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
• As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
• For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
